Comments are a questionable feature of snipsnap. They often dilute the concentration of knowledge from the
snip itself. The only place where comments are appropriate are for
blogs and for
user snips.

i was browsing through some stuff on the snipsnap mothership and i came to the conclusion that the basic concept of snips with comments is not user friendly. if you search for "your keyword here", usually there come up tons of comments. these are really hard to sift through, if you are looking for something specific, because they're not threaded.

Comments, editing and linking which takes the case further. I think comments could be abolished.
