I don't need a hierarchy of snips modeled from one person and updated by hand. Such systems don't work for filesystem-, music-library- or information-organization. The effort is to big and the conditions for creating the hierachy might change. The system of my "dreams" would simply extract relevant keywords from the text and create a dynamic hierarchy (not a static one and not really a hierarchy but a speacial graph) from scratch by evaluating users navigation. The system would display most-viewed snips (something like high-level-snips, contexts or information-hubs which lead you to deeper information) on a start page, i can select one and get the snip, can say "well, thats not the needed information" and push "give me more". At the end all relations/links at the path to the "right snip" get a boost in rating. Neuronal nets do something similar. Unfortunately i've no idea how we could do this ;)
