My InfoI'm a Java developer by trade, but I've also worked with C++ and Corba. I have contributed to a number of Apache projects like Avalon, Cocoon, JMeter, etc. I'm married with a small family, and that is probably all I will share on that subject. (I'm happy, I just don't trust anyone else on the internet so its none of your business).
As a developer, I like to get under the hood and see how things tick. I've always been like that. I can't think of an electronic toy I haven't disassembled and reassembled. I started out with Basic on a Commodore 64, and since that wasn't fast enough I jumped right into Assembly language. I've learned the dangers of getting too close to the metal, so to speak, but I still can't resist the lure of new challenges. It may be my downfall one day. For example, I played my first RPG game (Final Fantasy X) and remember thinking to myself that I could do this--by myself, with no budget, no animation or 3d programming experience. Oh, did I mention I am the most humble guy I know? Heh, heh.
