Q: Does SnipSnap support WikiLinking?

A: No, despite the Wiki-esque name SnipSnap, we do not support WikiLinking. We think it's ugly and unreadable by most people. "But I when I use MoBlogs, linking is automatically done." Well but you have to decide first to write (unreadable) MobLogs instead of Moblogs or MoBlogs or Mo Blogs. Then you could also decide to write [MoBlogs] and then the same arguments apply here - old content will be linked to it automatically. Even if you write [Moblogs] or [MobLogs] (which both could not be found with WikiLinking MoBlogs. Bottom line: we will not add WikiLinking anytime soon because we think it's unreadable and ugly (and doesn't give much advantage) for most people. People who think WikiLinking is automatic, just have adapted to ThinkingInWikiMarkup. Start thinking in brackets, it's the same. If you need it, go ahead, there should be only one regex to change and we'll help you.

Q: Where to put static content?

A: There is a directory applications/<app-name>/static for static content which is mapped to /static on your SnipSnap

Q: How do I turn off weblogs ping?

A: To turn weblog pings off edit applications/<App-Name>/WEB-INF/application.conf , set the app.perm.weblogsPing=deny and then restart the server.

Q: How do I resurrect a "zapped" page?

A: For 0.4.2a there is currently no way to resurrect a zapped page. Make sure to backup the database regularly. In 0.5a the "delete" button is protected to be accessible to Admin users only.

Q: What's the difference between category labels, parent snips and namespace ? ie: What's the best way to structure my snipsnap ?
