I'm typing away, and want to insert a [snip] reference to "XML-RPC", but don't remember the exact term, or spelling.
I click a "Glossary" button (or better, hotkey Ctrl-G), for a popup window with the [index] contents. I type "xm" and it searches for the snips matching "xm*" in the list.
The list jumps to "XML", followed by "XML-RPC". I type down arrow, and Return to select the snip. "[XML-RPC]" is inserted into my textedit area, , as though I typed it.
Comments:
This makes the snipbase more scalable..I have 200 at work snipsnap, and 150 at home.. it's hard to remember what to link to. Right now I have to open the index in a new browser window..
This might be a good "side" project for someone, a good DHTML person could do without disturbing the main code.
I'm a keyboard person usually, think it'd flow better to not have to switch to mouse when typing..)
