SnipSnap and Eclipse

After an >>article in Germanys >>Java Magazin we have received quite a lot of requests to test Eudibamus/expTask. Since the code is not yet ready to be sold we are going to make a downloadable package to test it. So everyone will get an impression how it works. Hopefully we get enough feedback to improve the plugin to make it a really really useful tool.

Leo will keep you informed. Requests to get on the list of testers may be directed to eudibamus@first.fraunhofer.de.

A requirement to use Eudibamus/expTask would be a stable an continously developed SnipSnap base.

And that is currently an area of concern. No updated status, the bug reporting system not available etc.

Will this situation really improve?

Ahh, the jira runs in a tomcat and always runs out of memory for some reason. I will try to fix that.

If you figure the Jira problem, please post your problem/solution pair. At my site we run a Jira as well, so far however without any problems.

The first thing to do is upgrade jira :) Then I will look into the problem again.

@aos: Funny you should ask! Just yesterday, I posted an article, snipsnap script macro and python (mirrored here), about using the {script} macro to build webapps inside SnipSnap. Unfortunately, enabling {script} leaves your SnipSnap wide open, security-wise, so I didn't pursue it very far. Still, it's worth a look.

BeanShell also looks promising, but most likely has the same security issues.
