I want to like SnipSnap… I really do. I want to use it as a knowledge management tool for my software development team. I'm new to the concept of a Wiki, though, and one problem is absolutely baffling me:How do I create an article?I know that if I post to my blog with a link thispagedoesnotexist, I will get the opportunity to create that page. But what if I just want to create an article and have it linked from the index? Please help! Thanks,Russ
Hi Russ - today I felt exactly the same: how to create a damn new article without working around the problem by adding a [xxx] arbitrarily to get a [create XXX] just to delete this [xxx] after creating snippet xxx??Here comes my buffling answer: Type [xxx] into the search field and press "search" button and - boom - the [create xxx] link appears within the "nothing found" message.Question: why don't we add a "create" to the button bar?Klaus
In my local installation of SnipSnap 0.4.2a it is enough to search for a non existing snip. No [xxx] is needed, it actually breaks the search page. So just searching for "xxx" results to "There is no snip with xxx , would you like to [create xxx]?"I think a create link might be easier.
Well the idea is to add [xxx]sensefully to existing snips. This will not create isolated snips but a network of connected snips. But as some users don't undestand this we rate this a missing feature and yes, there will be a create link in 1.0
